Major TÜBİTAK ARDEB-1001 Grant Awarded to Assoc. Prof. Dr. İnci Polat Sesliokuyucu from Our Department of Aviation Management
The research project led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İnci Polat Sesliokuyucu, faculty member of the Department of Aviation Management at Süleyman Demirel University School of Civil Aviation, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK “1001 - Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program.”

An Innovative, AI-Powered Service Design Model to Be Developed
Titled “An Innovative Service Design Approach to Enhancing Passenger Experience at Airports: Development of the AI-CJM Model,” the project aims to holistically examine all passenger touchpoints across the airport service ecosystem. By integrating natural language processing, deep learning, and big data analytics, the study will develop an artificial intelligence-driven Customer Journey Mapping (AI-CJM) model.
Through this unique model, stakeholder-based value co-creation within the airport ecosystem will be quantitatively modeled, providing decision-makers with a scalable, verifiable, and data-driven decision-support framework for experience optimization.
Strategic Collaboration with Istanbul Airport
Istanbul Airport participates in the project as a strategic partner institution. Thanks to this strong collaboration, theoretical research findings will be directly enriched with operational field data and industry insights, maximizing the practical applicability of the developed AI model in real-world airport operations.
On behalf of our department, we congratulate our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. İnci Polat Sesliokuyucu and the entire project team for undertaking this impactful initiative, which will make pioneering contributions to the digital transformation of the aviation industry, the enhancement of passenger experience, and our country’s scientific advancement, and we wish them continued success.
