What Did We Do During the Antalya Airport Technical Tour?

On Thursday, April 10, our department students made field observations regarding the aviation sector as part of a technical trip to Antalya Airport. Our students had the opportunity to obtain on-site information about the operation of the airport and ground handling processes. The technical tour was carried out under the academic guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Dalkıran and Res. Asst. Zafer Şimşek. Within the scope of the event, Antalya Deputy Governor Dr. Suat Seyitoğlu hosted our students in his office and shared valuable information on public administration and airport management. In addition, Antalya Airport Civil Administrative Officer Coordinator Gülhan Karadoğan accompanied the students throughout the technical tour and provided comprehensive information on the operation of the airport.

Onurkan Ödeş, who also joined our course as a guest lecturer and works as a Ground Services Quality and Safety Specialist at Çelebi Ground Services Inc., also participated in the technical tour. Ödeş provided practical information about ground services processes and shared his sectoral experiences with the students. The highly productive technical trip allowed our students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with field experience.
