Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCHOOL DIRECTOR

The School Director is the chief responsible to the Rector, representing the college, presiding over the college boards, monitoring and supervising the work of the academic and administrative staff working at the college. The School Director performs the duties assigned by the Law No. 2547. In this context, their duties and responsibilities are stated below.

1.      To preside over the college boards, to implement the decisions of the college boards and to ensure regular work between the college units,

2.      At the end of each academic year and when requested to report to the rector on the general situation and operation of the college,

3.      To inform the rectorate of the appropriation and staff needs of the college with its justification, to present the issues related to the college's budget to the rectorate after receiving the opinion of the college administrative board,

4.      To carry out general supervision and control over the college units and personnel at all levels,

5.      To perform other duties assigned to him by the Higher Education Law No. 2547.

 AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD OF MANAGEMENT

1.      Under the chairmanship of the School Director, the Board of Management consists of three academic members to be elected by the School Board for three years, from among six candidates nominated by the Vise Director and the School Director.

2.      The Board of Management convenes upon the call of the School Director.

3.      When the Board of Management deems it necessary, it may establish temporary working groups, education and training coordinators and regulate their duties.

4.      The Board of Management is an auxiliary organ to the principal in administrative activities and assists the School Director in the implementation of the principles determined by the decisions of the School Board.

5.      It ensures the implementation of the school's education, plans and programs and the calendar.

6.      Prepares the investment, program and budget draft of the college.

7.      Takes decisions on all matters brought by the School Director regarding the School administration.

8.      Makes decisions about the admission of students, their course adjustments and expulsions, and the procedures related to education and examinations.

9.      To perform other duties given in the Higher Education Law No. 2547.

 AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCHOOL BOARD

1.      Under the chairmanship of the School Director, the Higher School Board consists of Vice Directors and Heads of Departments affiliated to the School.

2.      The School Board normally convenes at the beginning and end of each semester.

3.      The School Director calls the School board to a meeting when he deems it necessary.

4.      The Higher School Board is an academic body and decides on the education, scientific research and publication activities of the School and the principles related to these activities, as well as the plan, program and education calendar.

5.      It elects members to the board of directors.

6.      To perform other duties given in the Higher Education Law No. 2547.

 AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

The Deputy Director of the Vocational School is the chief responsible for the School Director, who assists the Director of the School, participates in the High School boards, and is authorized to monitor and supervise the work of the academic and administrative staff working in the college. The duties and responsibilities of the vice director of the school are given below.

1.      To participate in the college boards, to help the Higher School Director in implementing the decisions of the college boards and in ensuring regular work between the college units,

2.      At the end of each academic year and when requested, to report to the School Director about the general situation and operation of the college,

3.      Contributing to the School Director in preparing the appropriation and staff needs of the college with its justification,

4.      To assist the School Director in the duties of general supervision and control over the units of the college and personnel at all levels,

5.      To perform other duties assigned to him by the Higher Education Law No. 2547.

 DUTIES OF THE HIGH SCHOOL SECRETARY

1.      To carry out the administrative affairs of the School,

2.      To prepare and control all the physical equipment of the School,

3.      To act as a rapporteur to the School Board and the Board of Management.

4.      To carry out, coordinate and control the personnel, education, administrative and social affairs, health, purchasing, accounting and financial affairs, communication, paperwork and archive, cleaning, maintenance and repair works of the School through its service units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OFFICER

Officers are in charge of personnel transactions and correspondence, accrual transactions, incoming and outgoing document follow-up, goods and warehouse operations.
