Our college has launched a Master's Program in Aviation Management with Thesis.
As a result of the work carried out by the School of Civil Aviation at Süleyman Demirel University, the Council of Higher Education has approved the opening of the "Aviation Management Master's Program with Thesis" under the Department of Aviation Management within the Institute of Social Sciences.
The program, which is unique in the Mediterranean region and its surroundings, aims to contribute to meeting the management needs of the aviation sector and to the development of academic knowledge in the field of aviation. Students wishing to pursue a master's degree in this program can apply starting from the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
In a statement on the subject, the Director of the School of Civil Aviation, Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Çarıkçı, stated that they are very happy that the Aviation Management Master's Program, which they have long dreamed of, is opening this year. Prof. Dr. Çarıkçı said that with the positive outcome of the application, the program has officially started accepting students.
Prof. Dr. Çarıkçı emphasized that the aviation sector is a strategically important, constantly growing and developing field for the country. Çarıkçı stated: “The need for qualified managers and experts in this field is increasing every day. Our master's program aims to both meet the professional needs of the sector and provide our students with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This education is also an important milestone for our university. Because by integrating our academic knowledge into the sector, we will contribute to the competitiveness of our country in the field of aviation. Our program will make significant contributions not only to our university but also to our region. The training of qualified workforce will directly reflect on regional aviation businesses and the logistics sector, and will bring vitality to the regional economy. When our students graduate, they will have the knowledge and skills to make a difference in both the national and international aviation sectors. I would like to thank our entire academic community and university administration who contributed to the realization of the program.”

Our Aviation Management Master's Program with Thesis, affiliated with our Institute of Social Sciences, has received approval from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). We will be welcoming our first students in September. We would like to see everyone who wants to take an academic step in the field of Aviation Management among us with our program, which is unique in the Mediterranean Region and its surroundings.”
